What is a Giclée?

In French, “Giclée” means “spray with ink”. These prints are created by scanning original art works digitally and printing them using high-end color printers that spray tiny, precisely controlled drops of ink onto ph balanced, acid free paper or canvas. A highly faithful reproduction of the original work is guaranteed by this process. Because the digital image and printing process does not degrade with use, there will be no difference between the first print and the 250th one. Therefore digital printing is rapidly replacing fine art photography in producing the highest quality prints; prints that under proper care will last a lifetime.

As with all art work, you can insure a long life for your art prints by not hanging them in direct sunlight or in rooms with excessive moisture. Care for your giclée prints as you would any fine artwork and they will reward you with many years of pleasure.
